Dr. Beshara Helou

Since 1997, Dr Helou has been serving Sussex county patients and residents primarily via his Georgetown office where he originally started then opened up his new office in the beginning of 2008.

Given the patient demographics, he provides care to a broad spectrum of patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. His main interest and focus has been on Diabetes, Coronary Artery Disease, Hypertension, arthritis and chronic medical conditions especially with the growing percentage of retirees in the area. He delivers cutting edge treatment for diabetics in a multidisciplinary approach that involves weight loss programs, complex medical/Pharmacological treatment, continuous glucose monitoring, Insulin pumps and alternative natural treatments.

Along with his dedication to the patients and residents of Sussex county. Dr Helou also serves as a medical Director of The Harrison Senior living, a local Nursing home facility in Georgetown,  where he overlooks the care of over one hundred residents. He has acquired tremendous experience in the field of geriatrics given the high percentage of aging population.  He treats a variety of illnesses that afflict older patients such as Osteoporosis, Dementia, Osteoarthritis, Congestive Heart Failure, stroke and urinary incontinence to name a few.


Rita Meadows, MSN, FNP-BC

She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in May, 1992. After a diverse nursing career to include Orthopedic-Trauma, Head Trauma and Neuro Rehab, Medical-Surgical, ICU and CCU, and Utilization Management, she then completed her Masters in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Troy University School of Nursing, attaining membership in the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. Upon graduation she worked at the Institute for Advanced Wound Care, providing patients with cutting-edge products and treatments for chronic wounds while participating in several research projects.  She also served as an Adjunct then Assistant Professor at Troy University School of Nursing prior to moving to Delaware to provide family practice and women’s health care services.
